Blake Marggraff, an Eagle Scout and black belt from Lafayette, California, studied biology at Washington University in St. Louis (graduating class of 2015) while building companies that he's founded. Epharmix, a health IT company that Blake founded, sits at the intersection of research, medical impact, and technology. Blake won the world's largest science fair (Intel's ISEF, ~4M competitors worldwide) in 2011 for a project involving simulated cancer treatment and cell death quantification. Public speaking, hiking, and photography are a few of Blake's favorite hobbies. Blake has hundreds of hours of experience as a voiceover artist, has spoken at dozens of events to thousands of students and educators about effective communication and presentation, and has appeared as a reality TV show judge with Bill Nye. Blake is conversant in Spanish, and likes to pretend he can speak some French, too.
Speaking: Blake has been invited to present at over 15 education, technology, and entrepreneurship events, including the Compass Summit in Terranea, Los Angeles; the Intersection Event at Google, Mountain View; the Educators' Summit @ Stanford d.school; and to over four thousand students and educators at a STEM celebration event held at California State Capitol in Sacramento.
